אודייני השכר לאמצע והא אודייני דמחמת עצמו [הוא] שאני אודייני דלנטירותא הוא דעבידא ואפילו קטנים נמי מצו מנטרי לה:

');"><sup>2</sup></span> are to be equally divided'; but [the proceeds of] a covered cistern [are surely] due to [the elder brothers] themselves!<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Since no expenses for its upkeep and protection are drawn out of the funds of the estate. And yet it is stated that the proceeds are to be equally divided. How then, could Raba say that if the improvement was at the expense of the elder brothers all the profits belong to them only?
